Fix Auto UK has announced that it acquired its first wholly-owned independent repair centre, formerly Daventry Panel Craft.

The 10,000 square foot bodyshop will transition to Fix Auto Daventry and follows the business taking a majority share in existing franchisee Fix Auto Goole in 2018.

Fix Auto UK’s director, Ian Pugh (pictured), said: “I’m pleased to announce this latest move which is a significant development for Fix Auto UK in our strategy to create scale, either by recruiting new franchisees or via acquisition.”

Fix Auto UK committed a six-figure sum to Fix Auto Goole, and hoped it would be the “first of many” investments of this kind.

Following the Goole acquisition, Pugh revealed to AM Online that the business wants to work closely with suppliers to develop a training and development academy, to be used as a test bed for new innovations, processes and working practices.

“This is the start of an exciting new chapter for our business, which will futureproof our network in the UK and open up a number of opportunities for us,” said Pugh.

Fix Auto Daventry adds to the already growing network which has seen 10 new franchisees join during the last 12 months.
