Value of 4x4s are on the increase thanks to the drop in temperatures and icy conditions.

Stuart Pearson, managing director at BCA UK Remarketing said interest in these vehicles will increase sharply with values moving upwards in line with demand.

Values rose sharply in October by £449 (2.9%) to reach £14,883 and rose again in November to reach £14,915, the highest point so far this year.

“We have enjoyed a relatively mild autumn across much of the UK, but the arrival of some harsher winter weather will typically prompt a spike in values for 4x4s”, Pearson said.

“Every year we see a clear correlation between falling temperatures and rising prices for 4x4 vehicle.

“Buyers in more rural areas often find four-wheel drive essential when the weather turns for the worse however there continues to be a huge market for drivers that simply enjoy the practicality and the safety that these vehicles bring.”
