Saab is to unveil a high performance concept car at this year's Frankfurt show, its first since the EV-I in 1985.

The Saab 9x said Peter Augustsson, Saab Automobile's CEO is a "statement of intent, real physical proof that Saab is embarked on an exciting journey".

He added that the 9x spearheads a major product offensive, with at least one new product to be announced every year for the next six years.
