Paints, coatings and chemicals specialist AkzoNobel has been retained as ‘preferred supplier’ to the Honda (UK) network for a further two years.

The Amsterdam-based firm is one of the world’s leading industrial companies, boasting a total revenue of €13.9bn in 2009.

This new deal will see it provide its Sikkens branded automotive repair paint systems and support services to Honda’s UK aftermarket repair network.

Neil Read, key account manager for AkzoNobel, commented: “We are thrilled to have retained the contract.

“This is a real tribute to the strength of the AkzoNobel team, our innovative product range and the approach which puts the customer at the forefront of everything we do.”

Marcus Comfort, car parts manager for Honda (UK), added: “We are delighted to be continuing our partnership with AkzoNobel.

“We know our network of repairers trust the quality of the Sikkens product range and benefit from the technical support and on and off-site training.”
