Honda’s breakdown cover, Hondacare Assistance, is the best of its kind according to a new survey of UK motorists by Which?.

An 87% satisfaction rating saw the vehicle manufacturer's product take victory in the Top Carmaker Branded Cover category in the annual survey.

Drivers gave the service, which is provided in conjunction with the AA, a maximum five-stars for its roadside repairs and within-the-hour arrival times.

Hondacare Assistance is standard on new Honda cars bought from authorised dealers and runs for three years.

A free app is also available for owners with a smartphone.

Nick Holmes, head of customer and aftersales for Honda, said: “Making sure drivers have the best experience possible after they’ve purchased a Honda car is important to us.

“Our cars are made to last and if something does goes wrong we want to fix it as fast as we can, to get our customers on their way again.”
