Santander Consumer Finance (UK) and service plan provider Emac are pleased to announce a new partnership, designed to widen dealer access to the customer retention tool through the retail dealer network.

Over the last six months, Santander Consumer Finance (UK) conducted a wide-ranging review of its existing service plan model, identifying EMaC as the partner most appropriate to support their dealers and end customer needs in the future.

Neil Sullivan, marketing director for Santander Consumer Finance (UK), said the company has offered a service plan proposition to its supporting dealerships for a number of years, achieving consistent growth.

"We recognise a synergy with our overall finance offering. Service plans allow the end customer the opportunity to budget for what can be substantial servicing bills recognising that no one likes unexpected surprises," he added.

Santander has opted to work with Emac on an exclusive basis, excepting its current endorsed manufacturer partnerships, within its core lending market.

Angela Barrow, Emac CEO said: “We were delighted to be invited to talk with Santander Consumer Finance about service plans and naturally, agreeing a long term agreement based upon our service expertise and technology is a great confirmation that our approach is right for today’s market.”
