Nissan has appointed Paul Franklin-Slattery as its new national corporate sales manager.

Franklin-Slattery takes over from Mark Wheeler who was recently promoted to the role of fleet sales director.

He joins Nissan from Seat, where he spent four years in various roles within the fleet department, latterly as key account manager, and will oversee a six-strong team of corporate sales managers based across the UK.

Franklin-Slattery said: “Nissan has enjoyed great success in recent years and there is a palpable enthusiasm to keep that going and to build on it. Being part of an organisation with that focus is very exciting.”

Prior to his time with Seat, he spent more than a decade working for Vauxhall and other General Motors brands, working his way up from the factory floor to dealer relationship manager.

The appointment comes as the Nissan team looks to build on its performance in 2014 – its best ever year for UK fleet sales – and a market share of 5.4%.
