Mazda offers free wallbox charger to MX-30 First Edition buyers

Mazda will provide buyers of its limited edition MX-30 First Edition with a free NewMotion home charger wallbox, if their vehicle is registered by March 31, 2021.

The MX-30 is Mazda’s first fully-electric production model and is priced from £25,545 (inc grant).

First Edition models, which are limited to 500 units in the UK, cost from £27,495 and come with a high level of specification.

Following the arrival of the First Edition models, the full MX-30 range will arrive in UK dealerships in April 2021.

Mazda dealers have been accepting orders for the new model since March 2020.

Available across three model grades – SE-L Lux, Sport Lux and GT Sport Tech, standard equipment on all MX-30s includes LED headlights with daytime running lights, reversing camera, Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Intelligent Speed Assist, navigation and head-up display.

Each MX-30 comes as standard with a Type 2 AC charging cable and a socket for 50kW rapid charging, which can deliver up to 80% battery charge in 36 minutes.

Jeremy Thomson, managing director of Mazda Motors UK, said: “our first all-electric Mazda heralds an exciting start to Mazda’s second century in business. With the First Edition MX-30 order book now open, customers in the UK can reserve a car for just £800 for delivery early in 2021 and the addition of free home charging installation further adds to the excellent value of this limited-edition model. “

The MX-30 uses a 35.5kWh battery, which can provide a range of 124 miles.
