A group of car enthusiasts are celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Vauxhall Mk1 Cavalier by undertaking a marathon rally spanning the length of the UK.

Vauxhall Mk1 Cavalier owners will be driving their cars from Durness in the Scottish Highlands to Dover on England’s South Coast. Starting on Friday July 3, the drivers will be covering over 700 miles and, as part of the trip, stopping at different Vauxhall dealerships across the country.

It will be a homecoming for one of the visiting Cavaliers, as it returns to the Vauxhall Carlisle dealership where it was originally purchased.

One of these stops will be at Bristol Street Motors Vauxhall Carlisle. The drivers are due to arrive at the dealership on Kingstown Industrial Estate at 11:00 am; where they will be met by the latest model of the Vauxhall Viva as well as representatives from Vauxhall.
