Desira Group is poised to double its representation with the Suzuki franchise with the opening of a new dealership in Norwich.

Group managing director Stuart Stone said that the decision to open a second site with the Japanese brand came as a result of the success of Desira Suzuki in Lowestoft.

Speaking ahead of the new franchise's planned opening on February 16, Stone added: “We are thrilled to improve our relationship with Suzuki further as the opening of the Vulcan Road, Norwich branch will be our Second Suzuki dealership. It is such an exciting opportunity and the perfect addition to our expanding group."

Desira Group’s portfolio now features a total of nine franchised sites across East Anglia and North West London.

The Norfolk-based group employs around 254 people, representing Fiat, Nissan, Citroen, Peugeot, Suzuki, Jeep, Alfa Romeo, Abarth and SsangYong.

In the financial year to December 31, 2016, Desira achieved a turnover of £89.5 million and profit before tax of £1.2 million.

Desira’s new Suzuki dealership opening comes shortly after Hendy Group also doubled its representation with the brand to two sites, filling an open point in Crawley.
