Vindis Group has officially launched its newly refurbished Cambridge Volkswagen (VW) retailer today, merging and replacing its Milton Road and Sawston showrooms.

Head of business Daniel Whitehead cut the ribbon at the brand-new, state-of-the-art retailer alongside colleagues who included two long-standing team members Jackie Collins and Darren Wisbey, who have served over 30 years between them.

Vindis’ VW brand director, Mark Hudson, said: “The new premises and sales facilities will provide an enhanced working environment for our team, allowing them to continue providing the best possible buying experience for our customers – old and new.”

Vindis' new showroom will include bringing the highest of standards and customer-centric experience to Cambridge, the group claimed.

The showroom will feature a specialist and dedicated sales facility, a new car configurator, over 50 approved used vehicles and a large range of the latest VW models, alongside electric charging points.

A remote service centre for the site (located at Waterbeach) offers extended opening hours between 7am and 7pm, meaning customers have more flexibility and can avoid rush hour when dropping off and collecting their vehicles.

The new Formula 1 service bay also offers minor services, MOTs and simple repairs in under an hour, with appointments available from 7am to 6pm.

Inside, there is a customer concierge service offering a meet and greet at the entrance and airport lounge-style seating, whilst children can entertain themselves in the bespoke play area whilst customers wait. For those visitors who need to work, private offices can be booked in advance.
