German electric van brand B-ON is partnering with International Motors Limited (IML) to create a 25-strong UK dealer network before the end of this year.

The B–ON Max and Giga vans will be aimed at UK fleet customers that are looking to transition to zero emission vehicles for last mile delivery operations.

IML said it will be focussing the initial dealership locations in urban areas across the UK and will expand beyond the initial 25 locations in 2024.

The Max and Giga models will be available in two different trim levels, Box and Pure.

The Box model comes fitted with a large cargo box, while the Pure provides just the van’s chassis frame, allowing for customised cargo solutions.

The Max Box has a potential zero emissions range of 125 miles, while the range varies for the other van models depending on what cargo configuration they are fitted with.

The vans can be charged to 80% on an 11kw AC charger in three hours or they can be charged to 80% in 12 hours on a 3.6kW charger.

The Max and the Giga have been used in the German market by Deutsche Post with 24,000 vehicles on fleet, covering over 250 million miles in the last six years.

Ian Armstrong, B–ON UK business development manager, said: "With our extensive expertise in automotive distribution and a deep commitment to sustainability, we are confident that the B–ON franchise will revolutionise the electric light commercial vehicle landscape in the UK.

“We are actively seeking forward-thinking dealerships to join us on this exciting journey, and together, we will shape the future of last-mile delivery across the UK."
