Kia UK has revealed the locations and commercial vehicle partners for its new Purpose-Built Vehicle (PBV) Centres, ahead of the brand’s entry into the light commercial vehicle (LCV) market.

The PBV Centres – a national network dedicated to sales and servicing of Kia’s forthcoming PBV range – are set to launch in late 2025, ready for the first customer deliveries of Kia’s PV5, the company’s first fully electric commercial vehicle.

Pre-orders for the PV5 opened on 1 May, following its public debut at the CV Show, where full UK pricing and specifications were revealed.

Kia said it has handpicked its PBV partners based on their proven track records in servicing commercial vehicle operators, with many already embedded in Kia’s business and fleet operations or operating successful multi-brand commercial sites.

Each centre will feature bespoke facilities designed to meet the rigorous demands of commercial vehicle customers – including dedicated sales spaces, a service reception, specialist workshops with high-capacity ramps, and fully trained staff including technicians and service advisors.

Kia UK anticipates sales of 3,000 to 4,000 PV5 units in the model’s first full year, with an ambitious long-term target of reaching 17,000 annual PBV sales by 2030.

Paul Philpott, President and CEO of Kia UK, commented: "The new PBV Centre network will be built on the back of our successful partnership with our dealer network, and the vast majority of our new PBV Centres will be managed by an existing partner.

“The new network will be formed of a combination of standalone facilities, multi-brand van centres, and existing Kia locations. We will capitalise on our fleet and business expertise within our network and operate under the same franchise principles that have brought us success and recognition in our car business."

The PV5, including its passenger variant, will be exclusively available through these new centres. Kia said further announcements regarding centre locations and dealer partners are expected in the coming months.
