MG Motor UK has welcomed a new national fleet sales manager in the shape of former Hyundai Motors UK fleet operations manager Geraint Isaac.

Taking on the newly-created role as MG looks to grow its share of the fleet sector with the new all-electric ZS EV and the incoming MG HS C-SUV, which is set to arrive in showrooms this autumn, Isaac said that he aims to help build “to build organic, sustainable growth” for the brand.

The brand said that Isaac’s new role will see him work with the expanding MG dealer network, as well as major fleet operators, to create packages to serve clients requirements.

As part of the new role, he will also draw on his experience as Hyundai’s national residual value and remarketing manager to assume responsibility for MG’s for vehicle remarketing, residual values and the co-ordination of its fleet programmes.

Isaac said: “As the UK’s fastest growing car manufacturer, MG has a great opportunity to reach the business and fleet markets with its exciting range of efficient, spacious and well-equipped vehicles.

“I am keen to build organic, sustainable growth in our fleet sales, capitalising on the enormous interest we have had in both the all-electric ZS EV and the upcoming All New MG HS C-segment SUV.

With more than 25 years’ industry experience in the automotive and automotive finance sectors, Isaac joins MG from Hyundai Motors UK where he previously worked as fleet operations manager, before becoming national residual value and remarketing manager.

He also boasts experience managing business to business sales and fleet aftersales development at Vauxhall.

MG Motor UK is targeting the establishement of a 120-site franchised car retail network by the end of 2020.

The growth of the network includes the roll-out of a new set of coprorate standards which prioritise the provision of electric vehicle (EV) and hybrid-ready sales and servicing facilities.
