A new partnership between automotive media business Autovia and car sales site Heycar is being described as "a perfect fit" to get more buyers into used cars.

From today, consumers visiting Autovia's Buyacar car marketplace are able to browse Heycar's dealer partners' used car stock and buy directly from Heycar by paying a deposit.

Autovia recently changed Buyacar's business model to a lead generation one, after six years operating as a car e-commerce platform which transacted with the purchase itself.

Buyacar visitors gain access to around 100,000 used cars for sale as a result, and the partnership will open up a wealth of Heycar customer benefits and services such as the ten day money-back guarantee and full warranty on each car.

Karen Hilton, chief commercial officer at Heycar said: “We’re hugely excited to announce our partnership with Autovia. Investing in our brand and establishing partnerships with leading industry partners is an important part of our ongoing strategy, so this partnership is the perfect fit.

"We believe that customers should be able to buy a car in ways that suit them - after all, buying a car is an important life milestone.

"It’s a journey we’re passionate to join our customers on and our evolution is a great demonstration of this.”

Buyacar said Heycar’s established dealer network will now enjoy access to a whole new audience via the BuyaCar platform with over 9 million yearly visitors.

The partnership marries heycar’s prowess for creating streamlined online lead generation and e-commerce journeys, with Autovia’s expertise for building in-market car buying audiences.

Autovia chief executive Nicola Bates added: “Partnering with heycar enables BuyaCar to offer a greater range of quality-assured used vehicles and services to its wide audience.

"We believe that Heycar perfectly complements the trusted BuyaCar brand. Through ongoing collaboration, both companies and the consumer will benefit from a wider choice of quality used vehicles and fantastic services.”
