MotorEasy has launched a new online tool that allows customers to track the progress of garage maintenance and repairs on their car like fast food consumers track their pizza.

The firm said that its Repair Tracker is similar to the tracking systems offered by online shopping and delivery services.

Using the tool, garage customers can see when their vehicle is being booked into the workshop, when it’s being worked on and when the job is complete, as well as allowing them to interact with their MotorEasy technician to answer any queries or approve work to be done.

MotorEasy founder, Duncan McClure Fisher, said: “We are moving into the age of the ‘Do-It-For-Me’ generation – time-poor consumers who don’t want the hassle involved in various tasks but still want top-notch customer service.

“When you order a pizza these days, you probably track it to see how long you’ll have to wait before it arrives, but also to give yourself the peace of mind that your order has not been lost somehow.

“We’re simply offering the same peace of mind for when your car is in for maintenance and repair."

MotorEasy offers car service and repair through a network of 10,000 garages in the UK, including a collection and delivery service.
