Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has unveiled the 2013 Ghost, with subtle enhancements and a vast array of high tech gadgets.

Taking inspiration from this year’s Bespoke Ghost Six Sense concept, Rolls-Royce says it creates ‘an atmosphere of sumptuous luxury’.

Drivers open the coach doors to an interior of soft, natural grain leather and cross-banded wood veneers.

New additions include an upgraded amplifier with ‘exciter’ speakers housed in the leather headlining and Comfort Access, which Rolls-Royce describes as ‘a first-of-its-kind convenience feature’.

The presence of the key in the vicinity of the car primes the boot release mechanism so it opens automatically when you place your foot under the centre of the rear bumper.

An additional forged alloy wheel option and a palette of 44,000 exterior paint options complete the update.

Production will begin in late 2012 and if the current model is anything to go by then expect a starting price over £165,000+VAT.
