Unipart Automotive has appointed industrial services and distribution specialist Mark Dixon as its chief executive officer effective from September 1 to coincide with its head office move to Bicester.

Patrick Kalverboer, managing partner of private equity firm H2, which holds a controlling stake in Unipart, will continue its involvement with the business, and will remain as chairman after he hands over the mantle of CEO to Dixon.

Dixon will assume responsibility for Unipart’s management team and the aftermarket parts distributor’s vision for the future.

Dixon was formerly CEO of Wyko and Eriks UK. Previously, he managed the growth of a business-to-business branch network in the UK with responsibility for around 200 branches, 2,300 employees and £300 million in sales.

Kalverboer said: “Mark’s exceptional record in multiple site distribution operations and his strategic pedigree will ensure Unipart Automotive remains at the forefront of the UK’s automotive car parts industry.

“By aligning his appointment with the move to Bicester, he and the management team will be able to drive the business forward at an exciting time for the company.”
