Car dealer Glyn Hopkin has opened its purpose built brand centre in Newmarket Road, Cambridge.

Located just behind the previous Nissan site, the all-new showrooms house models from Nissan, Fiat and Jeep.

The 350-square metre facility is one of the first to feature Nissan’s ‘new retail concept’. The showroom is also one of very few in the country to specialise in Nismo, Nissan’s specialist performance division.

The new site also contains a brand-new 380-square metre showroom, home to Fiat and Jeep sales and aftersales.

The facilities more than double the number of service bays previously available to 10, as well as an MoT bay.

Fraser Cohen, Glyn Hopkin's managing director, said: “The development of our presence in Cambridgeshire was the most natural progression for Glyn Hopkin, being well-known throughout the South-East already.

"The new state-of-the-art facilities are a great way to firmly establish ourselves in the county, though it’s the commitment that Glyn Hopkin has to providing customers with first-rate sales and aftersales services that will cement our reputation as the first-stop for motoring needs.”

The acquisition and redevelopment of Nissan Cambridge by Glyn Hopkin means that around 30 members of staff are now operating at the new dealership across the three brands, adding to the headcount at Glyn Hopkin, which recently celebrated reaching a 600-employee milestone.

Glyn Hopkin is one of Europe’s largest representatives for Nissan, and one of the UK’s largest volume Nissan dealer groups with 13 dealerships. The group’s first dealership, Nissan Romford, opened in January 1993 and Glyn Hopkin now has more than 35 dealerships across London and the South East, representing over 10 brands.
