JCT600 has opened a Cupra pop-up store in Leeds Trinity Shopping Centre.

The Cupra Leon, Formentor and the new Born are on display at the store, as well as a range of Cupra accessories, including shoes, T-shirts, mugs, sunglasses and pens.

Cupra's first zero-emissions fully electric vehicle (EV), the Cupra Born is priced from £33,735 and is available to order.

The Spanish brand's new EV hatchback shares a platform with the Volkswagen ID3.

Cupra launched an online sales platform to sell the Born, forming part of a new agency sales model.

Cupra specialists will be on hand at the store to answer customer questions and share knowledge on the vehicles.

Ryan Smith, head of business at JCT600, said on LinkedIn: “It really does look great and gives everyone the opportunity to learn more about the amazing Cupra model range and brand.”

The store is located near the Albion Street entrance and will be at the shopping centre for a ‘few weeks’, said the AM100 retail group.

Almost 10,000 Audi, VW, Cupra Seat and Skoda plug-in hybrids (PHEV) are being recalled to franchised UK car dealerships amid concerns about a fire risk to motorists.

AM gained confirmation of the volume after German daily newspaper Bild initially revealed that more than 100,000 PHEVs produced by the OEM giant would be recalled globally due to the risk of fire.

JCT600 recently opened the doors to its new £9 million Ferrari supercar dealership in Leeds after COVID-19 lockdowns set-back the development.
