Automotive video expert, CitNOW, has added bodyshop and repair industry pioneer, Mike Monaghan to its management team.

Monaghan (pictured) has joined CitNOW as channel development manager to support the company’s growth in the insurance claim and accident repair sectors.

Monaghan established the Motor Vehicle Repair Association (MVRA) in 1988 and was the first to create recognised industry standards for the bodyshop sector.

He joined CitNOW today (October 1) and will also help the firm broaden the scope of its successful automotive platform to other insurance sectors in future.

Monaghan said: “In my 42 years in the industry, I have constantly looked at what the industry needs next and I think CitNOW is one of those things in the collision claims space.

“New concepts almost always negatively affect the repairers but what CitNOW has to offer is a great leveller for the industry, taking away doubt and argument, while adding value to both repairers and insurers.

“I have always been the repairers’ champion and looking ahead to where the industry is headed excites me. CitNOW brings a new level of transparency and trust that really brings the balance that’s needed.”

CitNOW sales director Gordon Grant said: “We are excited to have a creative forward-thinker like Mike joining our team.

“Our technology will play an important part in the future of the bodyshop and repair sectors and no-one knows that industry as completely as Mike.”
