Rob Holdcroft will take up a new role at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles (VWCV) as head of fleet, following the departure of Claire English who is moving to Audi UK.

Holdcroft is currently the national sales manager for the brand and will start his new role on July 12.

He has worked for the commercial vehicle division of VW Group UK in sales operations since 2016, both managing the area sales teams, and in sales development roles.

Part of his job was to implement a customer centric experience throughout the VWCV Van Centre network.

Prior to joining the brand, Holdcroft worked in the Volkswagen Group’s Trade Parts Specialists team, as TPS operations manager.

He will report into David Hanna, who was confirmed last month as head of sales operations for VWCV. Hanna replaced James Douglas who joined Volkswagen Passenger Cars at the start of June.

Cian O’Brien, director of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, said: “I’m pleased to see Rob stepping up to a new role in the team, bringing fresh ideas and ambitions, coupled with excellent knowledge and experience of our network and customers.

“We have an exciting course ahead of us, with the forthcoming launches of the new Multivan, ID.Buzz and ID. Buzz Cargo, and new Amarok in the next few years, as well as developments in electrification and digitalisation. I’m delighted to have an engaged team in place who are as excited as me to get stuck into the challenges.”

English will be leaving VWCV to take up the head of fleet role at Audi UK.
