A partnership between CitNow’s and Auto Trader has ensured the tech firm's 360-degree imagery technology will be used on the online car-buying platform’s website.

Customers can now view high-quality 360-degree interior and exterior imagery when searching for their next car.

Auto Trader will now offer customers the chance to have a full 360-degree view with one click of a button, helping customers fully engage with its adverts.

Commercial director at CitNOW, Carol Fairchild, said: “Auto Trader is the leading classified marketplace in the UK, and integrating our 360-degree and video technology means retailers can improve their ad quality, making their car the star, increasing trust and transparency.

“In the modern marketplace, your online presence is crucial, and high-quality imagery, 360 spins and video can transform the experience, attracting more customers and crucially increasing the conversion of online traffic to enquiries and in turn sales.

“CitNOW Web makes uploading high-quality assets simple, and it’s going to be a growing part of our focus in the coming months and years.”

CitNOW’s web app allows retailers to get vehicle listings onto their websites efficiently, and with professional quality imagery and video to attract potential buyers, the company said.

Studies from Auto Trader showed that buyers spend around 60 seconds longer on adverts with video, meaning the 360-degree imagery should help improve customer engagement for retailers.

Director of commercial products at Auto Trader, Karolina Edwards-Smajda, said: “All our research tells us just how impactful video and high-quality imagery can be in driving greater consumer engagement with the retailer.

“With 90% of all car buyers viewing a car online first, it’s never been more important for retailers to create the best possible first impression of both the vehicle and their brand.

“We’re committed to helping our customers win.

“That’s why we’re excited to partner with CitNOW to incorporate this innovative technology onto our marketplace, which we believe will further help retailers stand out in today’s increasingly challenging and competitive market.”
