Genesis expands home test drives nationwide

Genesis UK has expanded its home test drive programme to offer nationwide coverage for customers looking to experience a Genesis car ahead of purchase.

Following a brand launch in May 2021, Genesis UK’s home test drive programme for London and the South-East is being activated nationwide.

The brand, which sells vehicles direct-to-customers online, brings the test drive car direct to its customers’ home allowing them to experience the car in their own area.

Andrew Pilkington, managing director at Genesis UK, said: “2021 proved to be a momentous year for Genesis as we launched in the UK, and we are thrilled to now offer nationwide test drives for customers in the UK to further cater for the growing demand for Genesis.

“Our priority was to offer something unique to customers and we have been overwhelmed with demand for test drives. Since launch we have seen a 50/50 split of Genesis cars sold in London and outside of London, which was the key motivation for expansion.

“As well as expanding our we-come-to-you test drives, customers will be able to see and experience the Genesis brand and products at various locations across the UK throughout the year.

“We will be running a series of both display and customer ride and drive events in major UK cities, as well as attending organised events such as Goodwood Festival of Speed and Salon Privé.”

Online car buyers can now pre-order the Genesis premium brand’s first electric vehicle (EV), the GV60 – with prices starting from £47,005.

To help facilitate the nationwide expansion, Genesis has employed Genesis Driving Consultants who will be based around the country.

AM reported back in April last year that the online-only car retailer was set to become a “product-launch fantasy” ahead of its official launch in the UK on May 4.

In February, Genesis launched Genesis Flexibility, a car subscription service for customers across Europe

Genesis UK will also be hosting a ride and drive event in Wembley Park, London from April 7 to April 10.
