Genesis launches Virtual Studio video demonstration service

Genesis Virtual Studio

Genesis has launched a new online portal that allows customers to contact a product expert via video call.

The Genesis Virtual Studio enables customers to experience a 360-degree interactive vehicle demonstration, from the comfort of their home.

A trained Genesis product expert will host each call and can assist with booking a test drive. Sales leads will be passed to a Genesis Personal Assistant, who will become the customer's main point of contact with the brand.

All transactions are handled online, as Genesis operates a direct sales model.

Dominique Boesch, managing director for Genesis Motor Europe, said: “The launch of the Genesis Virtual Studio is a significant milestone in strengthening our customer journey by providing people with a convenient and high-quality service.

“The offering respects our customers’ time by providing them with a remote yet personal walkthrough the brand and its impressive range of vehicles offering unrivalled accessibility and ease for our European customers”.

The new virtual service complements the brand’s only physical showroom in the UK, in Westfield Shopping Centre, London. Genesis says additional sites will open in due course.

In an interview with AM at the launch of the first two Genesis models into the UK market, the G80 Saloon and GV80 SUV, Andrew Pilkington, the brand's managing director, described the business as “the ultimate realisation of the direct sales concept”.

Genesis currently offers its flagship GV80 SUV and G80 saloon, as well as the GV70 and G70 models in the UK. The recently announced G70 Shooting Brake will be available soon, followed by the GV60, the brand’s first electric model.

Earlier this year, Genesis announced ‘Genesis Flexibility’, a no-commitment subscription plan which includes all scheduled servicing, the Genesis Five-Year Care Plan and a dedicated Genesis Personal Assistant.
